Have you ever gone on a blind date and realized you made a mistake? Have you ever thought about walking out immediately? That’s how I felt when I walked into the Novel Hotel. I thought I had booked into the Novotel, so when the taxi pulled up I had to double check my booking. The lobby was small and irregular, the interior was such a through back to the 90s, and the opposite of everything I enjoy as a seasoned traveller and hotel designer. I thought about canceling my reservation, about asking to see the room before making a payment, but then I thought it’s just one night, let’s give it a try- and I am really glad I did! My room was high up and enjoys a much better view than most luxurious new hotels. The room has probably not been updated since the 90s, but it is well kept and clean, and the space layout is comfortable. It felt sustainable to be using a well loved room. And the bedding was exquisitely clean and silky. The staff were beyond polite, knew when to give me space and helpful without once asking for a positive review. It was hospitality delivered from the heart, and I loved it.

Especially Amin. The housekeeping team also did an outstanding job; the rooms were always spotless, tidy, and maintained with great attention to detail, ensuring maximum comfort. Especially moh.Tipu Lastly, the restaurant team deserves special recognition for their delicious and diverse meals, accompanied by excellent service and a relaxing ambiance. The staff are so polite and have good manner, the really have their excellent hospitality cervice, from the reception his name is Anand hope I spelled correctly his name, he was handling my check in with smile and talk about Euros, he make me feel regular guest there event though my first time to check in there. And also from the bar in 1st floor the waiter and bartender was only both of them working for semi final Euro's a bit busy but they really taking care of all the guest.

But the staff arranged a deluxe room instead and offered breakfast. Mr.Alan and front desk staff were very polite and ensured we had a good stay throughout, until checkout and booking a taxi to airport. Location is close to Madinat mall and Corniche with a short taxi ride. Taxi stand is at the hotel’s door step. Highly recommended.

Ferdouse took care of our room and made sure we always had everything we needed, we are incredibly grateful for his service! The rooms are always very clean and smell good, my parents-in-law even got a room upgrade for free.
