Novel Hotel City Center

Everything. I stayed there just one night, but the hotel is really nice, with all services that you can ask for. In the neighborhood there are a lot of restaurants, supermarket, shops, and the corniche is not far and reachable also by feet.

Booked 3 days. Overall good experience staying here. Check-in was delayed due to the booked room having some problem with A/C on that day. But the staff arranged a deluxe room instead and offered breakfast. Mr.Alan and front desk staff were very polite and ensured we had a good stay throughout, until checkout and booking a taxi to airport. Location is close to Madinat mall and Corniche with a short taxi ride. Taxi stand is at the hotel’s door step. Highly recommended.

The location is great if you want to visit the shopping malls and the sights. The bus stop is near the hotel and there’s also WTC mall 5-7 minutes from the property. Good breakfast

Have you ever gone on a blind date and realized you made a mistake? Have you ever thought about walking out immediately? That’s how I felt when I walked into the Novel Hotel. I thought I had booked into the Novotel, so when the taxi pulled up I had to double check my booking. The lobby was small and irregular, the interior was such a through back to the 90s, and the opposite of everything I enjoy as a seasoned traveller and hotel designer. I thought about canceling my reservation, about asking to see the room before making a payment, but then I thought it’s just one night, let’s give it a try- and I am really glad I did! My room was high up and enjoys a much better view than most luxurious new hotels. The room has probably not been updated since the 90s, but it is well kept and clean, and the space layout is comfortable. It felt sustainable to be using a well loved room. And the bedding was exquisitely clean and silky. The staff were beyond polite, knew when to give me space and helpful without once asking for a positive review. It was hospitality delivered from the heart, and I loved it.
